The Mining Industries Social Golf Club has operated for over fifty years in the Ipswich area. Initially established to provide a way for employers and employees of the mining industries to engage socially, today the focus has moved to a wider vocational cross section of the Ipswich community who enjoy the social aspects associated with a round of golf.
The club’s operations are managed by an executive committee overseeing all events, on courses mostly in and around the Ipswich area, typically held on the first Sunday of each month. A season runs from August-July, culminating in a two-round Club Championship to crown the Club Champion.
